| The Cerec
(CEramicREConstruction) method
was developed in the dental-medical centre of the University of Zurich.
As a rule, the computer-simulated results can be rendered and the
treatment can be started after only one appointment. An interim solution
is not generally necessary.
A major advantage of this computer-assisted technique is the
use of industrial ceramic materials. These are made using
standardized
industrial
conditions and are delivered as solid blocks of material. The
inlays are carved out of these blocks by industrial filing machines.
